What are the minimum of Algol

This evening there is the "minimum of Algol."
Algol (which means devil from the vocabulary Arabic) is a star in the constellation Perseus, almost 93 years away from us the light, and is the prototype of a binary star eclipses.
What are eclipsing binary stars? Are binary stars, that is double that revolve closely with each other. They are so close that our eye can not separate them, but their light decreases when you line up on the directive of our terrestrial viewing, because obviously the front cover of the light behind. For this reason we speak of eclipse.
light of this star, even for this pair of stars, regularly varies in intensity over a period of about three days going from minimum to maximum, or vice versa.
